Siamese and Siamese mixes form exceptionally close emotional
bonds with their humans and, more than any other breed, may suffer enormous
emotional grief and trauma when they lose their homes and end up in
shelters. Siamese Rescue Central is made up of a
group of individually operated non-profit Rescue Organizations engaged in a common purpose and to coming together as one Internet presence.
While each organization represented is a separate non-profit 501(c)(3)
corporation with its own Board, policies and procedures, each group is working
towards a common goal - to rescue homeless and abandoned Siamese cats and rehome
them in carefully screened. |

Purrs Abound is a foster-based, 501(c)3 non-profit Rescue made up of
men and women and their families from all walks of life. We are bound together by our
love for cats in general and Siamese in particular. Some of us have shared our homes with Siamese
for many years while others are new to the Siamese breed but anxious to learn more about them and help save a
life in the process. We are devoted to rescuing as many Siamese and Siamese mix cats from Michigan and
NW Ohio shelters as we are able. Cats that are fostering in Ohio have an OH beside their names all
others are in Michigan. Their location is noted under their name. All of these cats face uncertain futures
if left at the shelter and look to us and our foster families to provide a secure future. We hope that
one day we will be able to help Siamese and Siamese mix from other states.

SCRC has a shelter facility located in
Locust Dale, VA, about 1.5 hours southwest of Washington DC, and foster homes throughout the Eastern US,
from Florida to New Hampshire to Indiana & Tennessee. The shelter is open by appointment only,
Monday through Sunday. Because our turnover of cats is so great, it's necessary to complete the adoption
paperwork prior to coming to adopt, as we can't hold cats for folks unless they are approved adopters.

Southern California Siamese Rescue was born early in 2005, when we decided to divide California Siamese Rescue (CASR) into 2 separate, but closely aligned groups. CASR was extremely successful, but California is a very large state but after much thought, we felt we could provide more and better service to the cats and kittens we rescue if we became two groups.
Due to the nature of the Siamese cat, they don't do well in shelters and due to civilization; they don't do well on the streets. That's where we come in. We work extensively with shelters and individuals to save these cats before they are euthanized in the shelters or killed on the streets. We feel that it is not the cat's fault that they become homeless and in order to make sure they don't end up that way again.
We provide foster homes for these cats, and do thorough screening of potential adopters before sending any of our cats to their 'forever' homes.

Pacific Siamese Rescue was organized February 2005, and was formerly the Northern California Division of California Siamese Rescue.
Denise Fabel, as Pacific Siamese Rescue's Director, is continuing to work in an ongoing basis with volunteers in rescue and fostering, as well as providing support where needed.
Only approved adopters are able to contact our foster homes who are caring individuals and families that allow us to invade their privacy and time with requests for information, letting potential adopters to visit and care for our future adoptees. They are also most likely the individual who rescued the cat or kitten and can give you information on any known history. Together you will be able to decide whether you have the right "fit", and future addition to your family. We urge you to have your application approved before deciding which furry friend you would like to take home as we cannot place a pending status on any cat before the paperwork is completed

| Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue© is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit charitable organization founded in 2007. We are an all volunteer organizations. 100%
of our funding goes toward the cats... no one gets paid a salary. Our mission is to educate pet owners, breeders, and shelters about our breeds, and to
place our cats with Forever Families who will give them the proper care and love they deserve.
We carefully match cats with their Forever Families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament,
and special needs. Then we determine the best fit for both the cat and the new family. Please note that
we do NOT ship cats. Adoption fee is $175 unless otherwise noted on the individual cat bio. This fee
allows us to provide excellent vet care for the cats that really need it. The healthy kitties make it
possible for the sick ones to be saved.
